COEDO MATSURI YELL PROJECT" started with the Kawagoe Festival in February this year.
In the third phase of the project, YELL/ALE will be sent to the "Chichibu Night Festival", one of the three major Hikiyama festivals in Japan along with the Kyoto Gion Festival and the Hida Takayama Festival, as an annual festival of the Chichibu Shrine.

This will be the first time that YELL/ALE will be prepared in a special collaboration with a Chichibu microbrewery.
Chichibu Beer, a microbrewery in Chichibu, and the long-running hit anime "We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day. The special label is inspired by the Chichibu Night Festival in the long-running anime "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

Chichibu Yoru Matsuri Ale -Matsuri Ale

The bright, pale golden color, clean bitterness, and soft aroma of traditional European noble hops, combined with the use of rice produced in Chichibu, Saitama, gives this ale a clean, crisp, well-balanced finish.

The special edition label is based on the "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" (We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day) ("Anohana"). This year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of "Anohana," and the collaboration with the "Chichibu Night Festival Ale Project" will further enliven the region.

In the beer world, ale is a beer brewed with top fermenting yeast that prefers a medium temperature of around 20℃, while lager is a beer brewed with bottom fermenting yeast that prefers a low temperature of around 10℃. COEDO has combined these two homonyms to create a unique craft brewing experience by combining the words "ale" for beer and "yell" for support, and has been used by many people to express their support for sports and athletic events. COEDO has been brewing special "anniversary" ales to celebrate the anniversaries of many organizations.

COEDO MATSURI YELL PROJECT is a project to send YELL for the resurgence of festivals in Japan. 20 yen per bottle will be donated to the people involved in each festival.

Chichibu Night Festival

The Chichibu Night Festival is one of the three major Hikiyama festivals in Japan, along with the Kyoto Gion Festival and the Hida Takayama Festival, as an annual festival of Chichibu Shrine in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture.
There are records that the festival existed in the Edo period (1603-1867), and its 300-year history is still preserved and continues to attract many people. The Yoimiya Festival is held on December 2 every year, and the Grand Festival is held on December 3 every year on a fixed date and time. The festival begins in the morning, and the floats are pulled around until the night, with fireworks lighting up the night sky and the brilliantly shining floats and kasaboko floats being a truly spectacular sight.
In December 2008, "Yama, Hoko and Yatai events" including the Chichibu Night Festival were registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Chichibu Beer (GK BEAR MEET BEER), located in Yoshida, Chichibu City in northwestern Saitama Prefecture, rented the site of a former sake brewery bottling plant, and its president and brewmaster, Kodai Tan, spent about a year renovating it into a brewery and started brewing in October 2017. He aims to brew "barley wine that can heal people's souls," and places importance on having people fall in love with it through their senses.
